At New Zion, we believe that devotion is an essential part of our relationship with God. It’s not just about attending church services or performing rituals; it’s about cultivating a heart of worship, prayer, and intentional living every day. Devotion is the practice of setting aside time to reflect on God's good ness, spend time in prayer, and seek His will for our lives. It's through devotion that we draw closer to God and are transformed by His love and grace.
"But they that wait upon the Lord shall revew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." — Isaiah 40:31
At New Zion, we believe that praise and worship are fundamental expressions of our faith. They are not just rituals or traditions but vital ways through which we encounter God, experience His presence, and respond to His love and goodness. Praise and worship are powerful acts of surrender, adoration, and thanksgiving that draw us into a deeper relationship with our Creator.
"Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord." — Psalm 150:6
At New Zion, we believe the altar call is a sacred and transformative moment where individuals are invited to take a step toward a deeper relationship with God. Whether you are seeking salvation, desiring to rededicate your life, or in need of prayer, the altar call is an opportunity to respond to God’s invitation for change, healing, and new beginnings.
“That if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” — Romans 10:9
At New Zion, we believe that tithes and offerings are a reflection of our hearts and our commitment to God. Giving is not just a financial transaction—it is an act of worship and a way to honor God for the blessings He has poured into our lives. Through our tithes and offerings, we participate in the work of God’s Kingdom, supporting the church’s ministry, outreach, and the care of those in need.
Giving is a sacred expression of our love and obedience to God. The Bible teaches us that tithing—giving the first 10% of our income—is a way to honor the Lord with what He has blessed us with. Offerings, which go above and beyond the tithe, reflect our gratitude, faith, and commitment to His work in the world.
Let your giving be guided by love, not obligation—by joy, not pressure. Whether you give online, by mail, or in person, know that every seed sown is a step of faith that honors God and fuels His mission.
"Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” — 2 Corinthians 9:7
To make giving as convenient as possible, we offer three easy ways to contribute. You can give in person during our worship services, or you can send your tithes and offerings through the mail. For those who prefer digital options, we also accept donations via Venmo and PayPal. These platforms allow you to give securely and quickly from anywhere, whether you’re at home or on the go. Whatever method you choose, your contributions help us fulfill our mission and serve our community with love and purpose.
At New Zion, preaching is at the heart of everything we do. It is through the preaching of God’s Word that we are encouraged, challenged, and transformed. Every message shared from the pulpit is an opportunity to deepen our understanding of Scripture, strengthen our relationship with God, and live out our faith in a meaningful way.
Preaching is the act of proclaiming God’s truth as revealed in the Bible. It is not simply a lecture or a motivational speech; it is the anointed declaration of God’s Word, meant to convict, encourage, teach, and empower believers. Preaching is an essential means of spiritual growth and transformation, as it helps us understand God’s will for our lives and challenges us to live according to His Word.
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” — 2 Timothy 3:16-17
At New Zion, we believe that the doors of the church are always open to everyone. Whether you’re seeking answers to life’s big questions, looking for a community to belong to, or desiring to grow in your faith, we welcome you with open arms. No matter your background, circumstances, or struggles, we invite you to come as you are and experience the love, grace, and hope found in Jesus Christ.
The doors of New Zion are open wide because we believe that God’s love is for all people. Our church is not just a building—it is a community of believers, united by faith and called to serve one another. Whether you are new to church, have been attending for years, or are looking for a place to belong, there is a space for you here.
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28
At New Zion, we believe that the benediction is more than just a closing phrase—it’s a powerful and meaningful moment in our worship services. It is a prayer that sends us out into the world with God’s blessing, peace, and purpose. The benediction is a reminder that, as we leave the church, we are not leaving God's presence behind but are empowered by His Spirit to live for Him in every area of our lives.
"Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen." — Jude 1:24-25
The service typically lasts for about an hour and a half, providing a time of worship, prayer, and the preaching of God’s Word. Once the service concludes, we warmly invite you to remain and engage in fellowship with one another, sharing in the love and encouragement that comes from being part of the body of Christ.
