About Us

Welcome to New Zion Missionary Baptist Church

Our Mission

At New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, our mission is to glorify God through worship, discipleship, and service. We are committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, nurturing spiritual growth, and fostering a loving and supportive community. Through faith, prayer, and outreach, we strive to uplift individuals and families, meet the needs of our neighbors, and share God's love with the world. Our goal is to be a beacon of hope, unity, and transformation, leading souls to Christ and equipping believers to live out their faith with purpose and conviction.

Word of the Week

“TETELESTAI (τετέλεσται) a Greek word meaning "It is finished," famously spoken by Jesus on the cross (John 19:30) to declare his redemptive mission accomplished. It signifies that the debt of sin is paid in full, with the perfect tense indicating an action completed in the past with lasting, ongoing results. Examples of usage:

*Business/Receipts: Historically used on tax receipts or bills to mean "paid in full" or "debt paid".

*Military: Signifies "battle won," representing victory, triumph, and the end of spiritual warfare.

*Judicial:  Means "judgment fully served" or a penalty completely paid.

*Theology/Sacrifice: Indicates the end of the old covenant, fulfillment of prophecy, and completion of the work of salvation.

Financial principles from THE MANUAL:

(re: organization)*

"Poor is he who works with a negligent hand, but the hand of the diligent makes rich." ~  Proverbs 10:4 (NAS)

In business, organization is an absolute necessity, not an alternative. A smart entrepreneur will learn that although ideas start businesses, organization makes the successful. That means a business owner must either develop the necessary discipline or hire someone else to keep the company in order.

*From "Dollars & Sense: Bible Wisdom for the Faithful Steward" ~ Larry Burkett
