Celebrating Our Faithful Journey: 106th Church Anniversary

    Our Mission

At New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, our mission is to glorify God through worship, discipleship, and service. We are committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, nurturing spiritual growth, and fostering a loving and supportive community. Through faith, prayer, and outreach, we strive to uplift individuals and families, meet the needs of our neighbors, and share God's love with the world. Our goal is to be a beacon of hope, unity, and transformation, leading souls to Christ and equipping believers to live out their faith with purpose and conviction.

    Word of the Week

“SHA-MAR” is the Hebrew word for “protect”

This Hebrew word is used throughout the Old Testament and can also be translated as “keep” or “guard.”  This is the word used in Genesis 4:9 when Cain says to God “Am I my brother’s keeper (shamar)?” and the word used in Psalm 121:4 which says “Behold, He who keeps (shamar) Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.”

In our continuing effort to stamp out all types of illiteracy

    Financial principles from THE MANUAL:

    (re: justice)*

"There is no truer statement that this: God is never wicked or unjust. He alone has authority over the earth and dispenses justice for the world" ~  Job 34:12-13 (TLB)

To question why the unrighteous aren't punished by God is to question his wisdom. After all, this life is the only heaven they will ever experience.

*From "Dollars & Sense: Bible Wisdom for the Faithful Steward" ~ Larry Burkett
