Our Mission

At New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, our mission is to glorify God through worship, discipleship, and service. We are committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, nurturing spiritual growth, and fostering a loving and supportive community. Through faith, prayer, and outreach, we strive to uplift individuals and families, meet the needs of our neighbors, and share God's love with the world. Our goal is to be a beacon of hope, unity, and transformation, leading souls to Christ and equipping believers to live out their faith with purpose and conviction.

Word of the Week

 “TSEL” (צֵל)

Shadow in Hebrew is צֵל, tsel, also meaning shade or defense. The Almighty God is a protection, a defense, a place to hide and a place of rest. In the context of Psalm 91:1, "the shadow of the Almighty" in Hebrew (צל-א-ל שדי, tsel 'el shaddai) signifies a place of refuge and divine protection, metaphorically using the imagery of being under God's protective shadow. The phrase combines the Hebrew words for "shadow" (צל, tsel) and "Almighty" (שדי, Shaddai), emphasizing God's power and closeness. This metaphor suggests that those who trust in God and seek His presence are enveloped by His protective power.

Financial principles from THE MANUAL:

(re: honor)*

"The reward of humility and fear of the Lord are riches, honor and life." ~ Proverbs 22:4 (NAS)

The trend today is to seek the path of least resistance. The world has not conformed to God's standards, but rather to Satan's. It is vital that we walk according to God's Word. God's principles demand that, no matter what others are doing, we serve Him through every action we take.
